Synopsis
Broken Tale is an award-winning animated short film inspired by the Swedish folk tale The Story of Skutt the Moose and Little Princess Tuvstarr. The film follows a young girl guided by a mystical moose through an ancient forest toward a hidden lake.
Blending painting, textures and digital animation, the film explores themes of initiation, transformation, memory and the cycle of life. The forest becomes a symbolic inner landscape, while the lake represents the unknown and the subconscious.
Broken Tale is one of the foundational works of Konik Studio and established the distinctive artistic language of the studio, combining folklore, mythology, painting and experimental animation.

Opowiada o dziewczynce prowadzonej przez mistycznego łosia przez pradawny las ku ukrytemu jezioru.Film łączy malarską estetykę, autorskie tekstury oraz animację cyfrową, podejmując tematy inicjacji, przemiany, pamięci i cykliczności życia. Las staje się symboliczną przestrzenią wewnętrznej podróży, a jezioro – miejscem konfrontacji z tajemnicą. Broken Tale jest jednym z najważniejszych i najbardziej rozpoznawalnych filmów Konik Studio.
